Before refurbishment, this old playground was non-compliant, dangerous, dull and boring. This play space urgently required an upgrade to account for a significant influx in kids in a short period of time, and that is exactly what we did. Estimators determined that the existing base depth of this playground varied between 10mm and 200mm in certain area’s. RTI excavated all of the existing rubber (more than 20tn over 275m2), levelled the surface with compacted crushed rock and installed new base rubber to become compliant with the relevant safety standards. Various consults occurred between the school and estimators to match colour blends to the logos & emblems which come from a rich Islamic background.
