RTI picked this project up with short notice and a very complex colour design. We worked with the head contractor, providing several colour samples to match the specification. Given the short notice, we were required to complete the entire scope within 5 operating days, so not to apply too much pressure to our existing schedule. Our teams worked hard to nail the set out which came up a treat!

The colour pattern required special planning to ensure maximum efficiency in pouring all non-touching colours in one go. Given the size of the project, it was feasible for the crew to install 2 or more topcoat colours in a single day provided those colours weren’t touching. As a result, this required the crew to thoroughly clean the mixer in-between colours to avoid any colour leaching between each line of colour. Around the play equipment care was taken to protect the embedded play structures from any staining of the binder on the surface, this was particularly important on the natural elements of the wooden logs / stepping stumps. Given the natural finish any binder stains would show with ease and reflect on the overall workmanship.
